Our pastor, Ronald G. Jarden is an ambassador for Christ. His objective is to win lost souls from sin to righteousness. In everything he does; he represent Christ. His work and influence have the same scope as does the gospel invitation, which is world wide.
He is sincere, a fervent prayer, and his life is fully surrendered to God. As the pastor he goes forth to labor, his work will be well directed. He is the master of situations and conditions. Emergencies present opportunities, not disasters; circumstances, become steppingstones, not stumbling blocks. He has a humble grace and a heaven-born dignity which are in keeping with his holy calling. His first work is to live the gospel. His life is his true sermon; it must be above reproach in everything. People will follow what he does more than what he says.
Our pastor is an example in frugality. By precept and example he teaches the evil of signing away one’s right to “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” by mortgaging his future in order to come into possession of unearned and unpaid-for conveniences.
Our pastor is thoroughly acquainted with the work of every department of church endeavors, encouraging the leaders and members by taking an active interest in them, attending all meetings regularly, if possible, and helping to make each department and worker a success.
Pastor Ronald Jarden became Pastor of Mt. Zion October 14, 2014. He relocated from Houston Texas to Deridder; only to be visiting his sister. But God had other plans.
Pastor Jarden has been employed with the Beauregard Parish school Board for eight years. In 2015 he recived his Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Elementary Education and Special Education. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He is a Educator of Carver Elementary. He is a second grade teacher. He still has the G.E.N.T.S program where he mentors young boys on how to become gentleman.
Pastor Jarden theme and Vision for the church is putting our Faith in Action. He has proven that his faith and ultimate trust is in God. By faith, we have purchased a new LED sign, newly remodeled kitchen, started our media ministry, along with social media provisions where we go live for Bible Study weekly. On May 6, 2017 with much prayer and visionary leadership; Tully Street will be renamed George B. Harris Street. The official unveiling ceremony will be held May 6, 2017 at 10:30 am. Now we have a new webpage where we can now engage the World as the great Commission as stated.
He believes all that come to the S.P.O.T; (Spiritual People Obeying Truth) lives will be enhanced and souls will be saved.
He is the husband of local author and entrepreneur Mrs. LaDonna Jarden and they have seven children.
